Zong SIM owner details checks split between PTA's shared short codes (667, 668) and Zong's own channels (*8#, 7911, 310). Each one answers a question about your own records. None of them reveals another person's name, address or number.
How to Check Zong SIM Owner Details
- Check registration: Send MNP to 667 from your Zong SIM.
- Check biometric status: SMS "V" to 7911.
- Check SIM count: Send your CNIC to 668 or use cnic.sims.pk.
- Find your number: Dial *8#.
Step by Step: the 668 Check on Zong
- Open Messages, not the dialler 668 is an SMS short code, and sends may be charged. Never resend in a loop.
- Type your 13-digit CNIC without dashes PTA's FAQ and its releases of 10 November 2023 and 31 December 2025 all say: digits alone.
- Read the count, company by company The reply gives your Zong total among the counts, never phone numbers or names.
- Or use the free website Enter the same CNIC with the reCAPTCHA on cnic.sims.pk. PTA runs this portal and it lists no fee.
What the Zong SMS Reply Actually Shows
Three checks, three different replies. Reading the right one matters.
- 667 (send "MNP" from your Zong SIM): the mobile number, registered name, CNIC and SIM number this Zong SIM is registered against. It is your own SIM's record and nothing else.
- 668 (send your CNIC): a count per company. Zong's line in that reply is a number of SIMs, not a list of them.
- 7911 (send "V"): whether the SIM has completed biometric verification.
If a 667 reply names someone other than you, the Zong SIM in your hand is registered to a different CNIC. Contact Zong to correct the record.
Zong Porting Rules
Zong's SIM price page lists porting in as free of charge, and its dedicated port-in line is 0314-3334455. Numbers with Zong's original prefixes (0310 to 0319) may now live on another network because of mobile number portability, so never trust a prefix: text N, a space and the 11-digit number to 76367 to see the network it actually sits on today. The mobile number details guide covers all prefixes and this check in full.
Zong Inactivity Policy
Zong's terms refer to 180 days of inactivity. PTA's amended rules also require notice and a further 180-day quarantine before reallocation. Keep your SIM active to avoid losing your number.
Use or top up each SIM every few months and keep spare SIMs in working phones, not drawers. A reallocated SIM simply vanishes from your 668 count, so the per-company totals in your SIM check are what to watch.
Lost or Stolen Zong SIM
Call 310 from your Zong number, or (051) 111-222-111 from any other phone, and block the lost SIM the same day. A replacement costs Rs 400 and is issued after a fingerprint check at a Zong outlet; you must attend in person, because the fingerprints have to match NADRA's records for your CNIC.
Sudden loss of signal, unexpected OTP messages or bank alerts can mean SIM swap fraud. Call the helpline from another phone, keep the complaint number, warn your bank, and escalate to PTA (0800-55055) or the NCCIA (1799). Full route: lost SIM and SIM swap recovery.

| Is this SIM biometrically verified | V to 7911 | Biometric status |

| Which network someone's number is on now | N 03XXXXXXXXX to 76367 | Network name only |

When the Zong Count Looks Wrong
List every SIM registered to your CNIC first: phones, second slots, router and MiFi SIMs, old cards in a drawer and SIMs relatives use on your CNIC. Then compare your list against the Zong line in the 668 or cnic.sims.pk reply.
Count higher than your list
A Zong SIM you never agreed to may sit on your CNIC. Visit a Zong franchise with your original CNIC and fingerprints and ask to disown it. Voluntary disowning costs up to Rs 200; fraud cases are handled free. Note that a newly purchased SIM cannot be disowned or transferred within 365 days of activation. If the outlet will not resolve it, complain to PTA (0800-55055) or the NCCIA (1799), following the blocking process.
Count lower than your list
A Zong SIM may not have completed registration, may have been cut off under the inactivity rules, or a very recent purchase may not show yet. Re-check after a few days and take up anything still missing with Zong.
Who Can Legally See Someone Else's Zong SIM Details?
Nobody, without authority. No official channel shows a stranger's name, CNIC or address from their Zong number. Accessing another person's SIM registration records without authorisation falls under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016: Section 16 (unauthorised use of identity information) carries up to 3 years in prison, a fine of up to Rs 5 million, or both. Only operators, PTA and investigating bodies such as the NCCIA touch that data lawfully. The PECA 2016 guide sets out the full framework.
What you can do lawfully and freely: count SIMs on your own CNIC at PTA's SIM Information System, verify your own SIM with 667, and check any number's current network with 76367.
FAQ
How can I check Zong SIM owner details?
For the SIM in your hand: send MNP to 667 and the reply shows its registered number, name, CNIC and SIM number. For all SIMs on your CNIC: send the CNIC without dashes to 668, or use the free cnic.sims.pk portal. Neither route shows details of SIMs registered to other people.
How do I check my Zong SIM's biometric status?
SMS the single letter V to 7911 from the SIM. The reply confirms whether biometric verification is complete. Since December 2022, new SIMs are issued through MBVS, which randomly checks two fingers against NADRA's records.
Does Zong charge to port a number in?
Zong's SIM price page lists porting in as free. Questions go to the dedicated port-in line, 0314-3334455. The other network may set its own terms for releasing the number, so confirm both sides before requesting a move.
What does Zong's inactivity rule do to my number?
Zong's terms refer to 180 days of inactivity, and PTA's amended rules add notice plus a further 180-day quarantine before a number can be reallocated. Use or top up each SIM regularly; a reallocated SIM disappears from your 668 count.
Zong SIM Owner Details: The Bottom Line
Zong SIM owner details are readable in two official directions only: your own SIM's registration (MNP to 667) and your own CNIC's SIM count (668 or cnic.sims.pk). Biometric status rides on 7911, your own number on *8#, and people problems on 310.
Next step: SMS your CNIC without dashes to 668 today, or open cnic.sims.pk, and match the Zong count against the SIMs you actually hold. If it is too high, book a franchise visit with your CNIC before the next bill cycle.
