The questions, grouped
This page answers what people actually search for about SIM owner details in Pakistan: what each official code returns, what the reply means, what no check will ever show, and what to do when something is wrong. Every answer here is written for the person holding their own CNIC. Where an answer depends on your network, the operator guide says more.

What is cnic.sims.pk?
cnic.sims.pk is PTA's official website for counting SIMs on your CNIC. Enter your 13-digit CNIC, complete the reCAPTCHA, and press Submit. It shows a count per network, not phone numbers.
Do SIMs in routers and trackers count on my CNIC?
Yes. The 668 count includes every SIM written against your CNIC, voice and data together, including cards inside routers, CCTV recorders and vehicle trackers. If the count is higher than you expected, a data SIM is the usual reason. See how to read the reply on the SIM count guide.

By number, and what nobody can check
Can I check sim owner details by number?
No official service shows who owns a number you do not hold. You can check SIMs on your own CNIC (668 or cnic.sims.pk), verify your own SIM (667), or check which network a number is on (76367). Using another person's identity information without authorisation can be an offence under PECA 2016.
How to check which network a number is on?
Text N, a space, then the 11-digit number to 76367. The reply shows the network name only. Cost: Rs 2 plus tax.
Is there a public SIM database in Pakistan?
No. PTA maintains official records. No public database allows searching by number or CNIC. Websites claiming to offer this are either showing fabricated data, reselling old leaked records, or redirecting to official PTA services.
What does "fresh sim data" mean?
The phrase simply means the sim owner details of a SIM you have just bought. It is the same registration details any SIM carries, looked at while the purchase is still new. No public "fresh sim database" exists.
Before buying a second-hand SIM, what should I do?
Ask the seller to send MNP to 667 from the SIM in front of you: the reply shows the name and CNIC the card is registered to. If the seller will not do that, or the name is not theirs, do not buy it. Porting the number or registering a new SIM in your own name is the only clean route.
