SCO (Special Communications Organization) operates in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. PTA's porting rules exclude AJK-series numbers.

SCO and Onic SIM owner details checks run on the same PTA short codes as the big four: your CNIC to 668 counts SIMs per company, and MNP to 667 reads back the registration of the SIM in your hand. SCO (SCOM) numbers carry 035x, 0800 and 0855 prefixes; ISPs such as Nayatel and Wateen get 017-prefix numbers. The difference is porting: PTA's MNP guidelines exclude AJK-series numbers, so an SCO line generally cannot move networks the way a Jazz or Zong number can.

Onic SIM: Important Update (September 2026)

PTA banned new ONIC SIM sales in September 2026. Existing ONIC SIMs continue to work. If you have an ONIC SIM, you can still check its registration via SMS 667 and manage it through official channels.

Onic's porting rules (before the ban) refused a number whose ownership had changed recently. PTA's MNP guidelines exclude AJK-series numbers from porting.

What the ban did not do: existing Onic SIMs keep their registration against your CNIC, and the checks still work. Send MNP to 667 from an Onic SIM to read its registration record, and send your CNIC to 668 to see the Onic line in your per-company count. If you no longer use an existing Onic SIM, it is still a registration on your name: weigh disowning it at an official channel rather than leaving it idle.

How to Check SCO/Onic SIM Owner Details

  1. Check registration: Send MNP to 667 from your SIM.
  2. Check SIM count: Send your CNIC to 668 or use cnic.sims.pk.
  3. Find your number: Dial *414# (SCO).

Step by Step: the 668 Check for SCO and Onic

  1. Open Messages, not the dialler 668 is an SMS short code. Dialling it does nothing, and each sent message may be charged, so never resend in a loop.
  2. Type your 13-digit CNIC without dashes PTA's FAQ and its releases of 10 November 2023 and 31 December 2025 all say to send the number alone, with no dashes, spaces or words.
  3. Send and read the count The reply shows SIM counts per company, SCO and Onic included. It never shows phone numbers or names.
  4. Or use the free website Enter the same CNIC with the reCAPTCHA on cnic.sims.pk, PTA's official SIM Information System. It lists no fee and has a Foreign ID tab as well as the CNIC tab.

What the SCO/Onic SMS Reply Actually Shows

  • 667 (send "MNP" from the SIM): the mobile number, registered name, CNIC and SIM number the SIM is held against. This works on an existing Onic SIM as well as any SCO SIM.
  • 668 (send your CNIC): a count per company. SCO's and Onic's lines are numbers of SIMs, not lists of them.

Neither reply shows anyone else's details, and no official channel returns owner details for a number you do not hold. The only legal third-party check is 76367, which names the network a number currently sits on and nothing more. Our reference tables list SCO's own biometric-check short code, helpline and port-in line as "not listed"; if you need those, confirm them through SCO's published materials rather than third-party sites.

When the SCO or Onic Count Looks Wrong

Make your own list first: every SIM registered to your CNIC across phones, second slots, routers, MiFis, tablets and cards relatives use. Then match it against the SCO or Onic line in the 668 or cnic.sims.pk reply.

Count higher than your list

A SIM you never agreed to may sit on your CNIC. Approach the company's official channel with your original CNIC and fingerprints and ask to disown it. Voluntary disowning costs up to Rs 200 and fraud cases are handled free, but note a newly purchased SIM cannot be disowned or transferred within 365 days of activation. If it is not resolved, complain to PTA (0800-55055) or the NCCIA (1799). The route is detailed in blocking unauthorised SIMs.

Count lower than your list

A recent registration may not have updated, or the SIM may never have completed biometric verification. Re-check after a few days and raise anything still missing with the company, since only it can correct its own records.

Who Can Legally See Someone Else's SCO or Onic SIM Details?

Nobody, without authority. There is no public register of subscribers, on SCO, Onic or any other network. Accessing another person's SIM registration records without authorisation falls under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016: Section 16 (unauthorised use of identity information) carries up to 3 years in prison, a fine of up to Rs 5 million, or both. Lawful access runs through the operator, PTA and investigating bodies such as the NCCIA. The PECA 2016 framework page explains what you can and cannot do.

Your own records stay freely checkable: PTA's SIM Information System counts them, and 667 verifies the SIM you hold.

FAQ

How can I check SCO SIM owner details?

From the SIM itself: send MNP to 667 and the reply shows its registered number, name, CNIC and SIM number. For all your registrations: send your CNIC without dashes to 668, or use the free cnic.sims.pk portal. No service shows the owner of an SCO number you do not hold.

Can I still use my Onic SIM after the sales ban?

Yes. PTA banned new ONIC SIM sales in September 2026; existing ONIC SIMs continue to work and stay registered against your CNIC. Keep verifying them with 667 and 668 like any other SIM, and manage changes through official channels only.

Can an SCO number be ported to another network?

Generally no. PTA's MNP guidelines exclude AJK-series numbers from porting, which covers SCO's 035x, 0800 and 0855 ranges. Before assuming from a prefix, text N and the number to 76367 to see the network it is actually on today.

How do I find my own SCO number?

Dial *414# from the SCO SIM and the screen returns your number. Your phone's SIM settings usually show it as well. If the SIM is inactive, resolve service first through SCO's official channels.

Does the 668 reply include SCO and Onic SIMs?

Yes. The count is company by company across the networks PTA reports, so SCO and Onic lines appear if SIMs are registered to your CNIC. PTA publishes no sample reply, so treat screenshots showing names or numbers alongside a 668 result with suspicion.

SCO and Onic SIM Owner Details: The Bottom Line

SCO and Onic SIM owner details follow the same official logic as every Pakistani network: MNP to 667 reads the SIM you hold, your CNIC to 668 (or free on cnic.sims.pk) counts the SIMs you own, and nothing published by anyone else can show a stranger's registration.

Your next step is a five-minute audit. SMS your CNIC without dashes to 668 or open cnic.sims.pk now. If an SCO or Onic count is higher than the SIMs in your hand, take your CNIC to that company's official channel and disown what is not yours.
