Step by Step: the 668 Check on Ufone
- Open Messages, not the dialler 668 is an SMS short code, and sends may be charged. Never resend in a loop.
- Type your 13-digit CNIC without dashes PTA's FAQ and its releases of 10 November 2023 and 31 December 2025 all say: digits alone.
- Read the count, company by company The reply gives your Ufone total among the counts, never phone numbers or names.
- Or use the free website Enter the same CNIC with the reCAPTCHA on cnic.sims.pk. PTA runs this portal and it lists no fee.
What the Ufone SMS Reply Actually Shows
Three checks, three different replies:
- 667 (send "MNP" from your Ufone SIM): the mobile number, registered name, CNIC and SIM number this SIM is registered against. It exists for number portability, and it is the only way to see a SIM's own registration record.
- 668 (send your CNIC): a count per company. Ufone's line in the reply is a number of SIMs, not a list of them.
- 7911 (send "V") or *336# option 1: whether the SIM has completed biometric verification.
If the 667 reply names someone other than you, the Ufone SIM in your hand sits on another CNIC. Contact the operator to correct the record.
Ufone Prefixes and Porting
Ufone numbers were originally allocated 0330 to 0338. Because of mobile number portability, a 033x number may now run on another network and any other prefix may have ported in, so the prefix alone proves nothing. Text N, a space and the 11-digit number to 76367 (Rs 2 plus tax) for the current network. Our reference tables do not list a Ufone port-in fee; confirm it on 333 before you request a move. The number prefixes guide covers every network's ranges.
Lost or Stolen Ufone SIM
Call 333 to block a lost Ufone SIM the same day, then visit a franchise with your original CNIC for a replacement after fingerprint verification. This site's tables list the Ufone replacement price as "contact helpline", so confirm the current fee on 333 before you travel. The fingerprint visit must be yours; nobody can attend for you.
Treat sudden loss of signal, unexpected OTP messages or bank alerts as possible SIM swap fraud: call 333 from another phone, keep the complaint number, have your bank freeze activity, and escalate to PTA (0800-55055) or the NCCIA (1799). Full steps: lost SIM and SIM swap recovery.
Telenor-Ufone Merger (July 2026)
Telenor and Ufone (PTML) merged on 1 July 2026. They are now a single entity. Services and helplines may have changed. Confirm current details with the merged company.
What the merger did not touch: SIMs stay registered against your CNIC under PTA's biometric rules, and the checks above answer about the account, not the brand. Send MNP to 667 and your CNIC to 668 whichever logo is on the card; the Telenor guide covers the other side of the merger.
Ufone SIM Checks: Which Code to Use
| You want to know | Code or channel | Reply you get |
|---|---|---|
| SIMs registered on my CNIC (all networks) | CNIC to 668, or cnic.sims.pk | Count per company |
| Who this Ufone SIM is registered to | MNP to 667 from the SIM | Number, name, CNIC, SIM number |
| Is this SIM biometrically verified | V to 7911, or *336# option 1 | Biometric status |
| My own Ufone number | *780*3# | Your number |
| Which network someone's number is on now | N 03XXXXXXXXX to 76367 | Network name only |
| Block a lost SIM or replace it | 333, then a franchise visit | Blocked SIM; new SIM after fingerprints |
When the Ufone Count Looks Wrong
List every SIM registered to your CNIC before you judge anything: phones, second slots, router and MiFi SIMs, old cards in a drawer and SIMs relatives use on your CNIC. Then compare the Ufone line in your 668 or cnic.sims.pk result against that list.
Count higher than your list
A Ufone SIM you never agreed to may sit on your CNIC. Take your original CNIC and fingerprints to a franchise and ask to disown it. Voluntary disowning costs up to Rs 200; fraud cases are free. Remember that a newly purchased SIM cannot be disowned or transferred within 365 days of activation. If the franchise cannot resolve it, complain to PTA (0800-55055) or the NCCIA (1799). How to block unauthorised SIMs covers the escalation path.
Count lower than your list
A SIM may never have completed registration or a recent purchase may not show yet. Re-check after a few days; if it stays missing, only the operator can correct its own register.
Who Can Legally See Someone Else's Ufone SIM Details?
Nobody, without authority. No public service shows a stranger's name, CNIC or address from a Ufone number, and sites claiming to do so trade in fabricated or leaked records. Accessing another person's SIM registration data without authorisation falls under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016: Section 16 carries up to 3 years in prison, a fine of up to Rs 5 million, or both. Lawful handling stays with operators, PTA and investigators such as the NCCIA. The PECA 2016 page has the details.
What remains free and legal: your own count at PTA's SIM Information System, and your own SIM's record via 667.
FAQ
How can I check Ufone SIM owner details?
Send MNP to 667 from the SIM to see the number, registered name, CNIC and SIM number it is held against. Send your CNIC without dashes to 668, or use cnic.sims.pk, to count SIMs per company. No official route shows owner details for a Ufone number you do not hold.
How do I check my Ufone SIM's biometric status?
SMS the letter V to 7911 from the SIM, or dial *336# and choose option 1. The reply confirms whether biometric verification is complete. Since December 2022, new registrations run through MBVS, which randomly checks two fingers against NADRA's records.
Did the Telenor-Ufone merger change SIM registration?
No. The 1 July 2026 merger combined the companies but not the registers: SIMs still sit against CNICs under PTA rules, and 668 still counts them company by company. Helpline numbers and tariffs may have shifted, so confirm those with the merged company.
Ufone SIM Owner Details: The Bottom Line
Ufone SIM owner details are answerable in two official directions: MNP to 667 for the SIM in your hand, and your CNIC to 668 or the free cnic.sims.pk portal for every SIM registered to your name. Biometric status rides on 7911, your own number on *780*3#, and people problems on 333.
Next step: run the count today. SMS your CNIC without dashes to 668 or open cnic.sims.pk, then match the Ufone figure against your own list. If it is higher, get to a franchise with your CNIC and disown the extra before it costs you something.
