668 vs 667 vs 76367

Three official SMS codes, three different jobs. Here's which one to use when.

The short answer

  • 668 — How many SIMs are on your CNIC? (free, your own CNIC only)
  • 667 — Who is this SIM registered to? (your own SIM only, send MNP)
  • 76367 — Which network is this number on? (Rs 2, any number)

Side-by-side comparison

Code What it does Cost Works on Reply time
668 SIM count per company on a CNIC Free (may vary by operator) Your own CNIC only Seconds to minutes
667 Name + CNIC on a SIM you hold Free Your own SIM only Seconds
76367 Network company of any number Rs 2 + tax Any 11-digit number Seconds

668 — CNIC SIM count

Send your 13-digit CNIC (no dashes) to 668. PTA replies with how many SIMs are registered on your CNIC, broken down by company (Jazz, Zong, Ufone, Telenor, SCO). This is the only official way to check SIMs on a CNIC. Free for your own CNIC.

667 — Own SIM details (MNP)

Send MNP to 667 from the SIM you want to check. The reply shows the name and CNIC the SIM was registered to. This only works on a SIM in your hand — you cannot check someone else's number this way. Free.

76367 — Network check

SMS any 11-digit mobile number to 76367. The reply tells you which company the number belongs to (Jazz, Zong, Ufone, Telenor, SCO). Costs Rs 2 plus tax. Works on any number — not just yours. Returns only the network name, never the owner's identity.

Which one should I use?

  • Suspect someone used your CNIC? → 668 (check your own CNIC)
  • Got a SIM in your hand, want to confirm it's yours? → 667 (send MNP)
  • Unknown number calling you? → 76367 (Rs 2, tells you the network only)
  • Want to know who owns a number that isn't yours? → None of these. No official service provides this. Anyone selling it is a scam.

What none of these codes can do

None of 668, 667 or 76367 returns another person's name, CNIC, address or call records. If a website or WhatsApp seller claims to provide "fresh number details", "live location", "CDR" or "family tree" for money, it is a scam. Report to NCCIA (1799) or PTA (0800-55055).
